Two women arrested on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine

RABUN COUNTY, Ga – Rabun County deputies arrested one local woman and one North Carolina woman on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamines on February 3, 2021.

During a traffic stop on GA-15/Hwy 441 near the intersection of Rabun Park Drive, law enforcement discovered a small baggy of white substance. Upon further investigation, they arrested Crystal Louetta Carpenter, of Clayton, GA, and charged her for trafficking of methamphetamine.

They also arrested Laura Surelle Henry, of Highlands, NC for the trafficking of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug related objects, driving with Suspended registration, and failure to maintain lane.

Both were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.

RABUN COUNTY, Ga – Rabun County Deputies arrested Clayton, Ga man and woman after conducting a narcotics investigation. Male suspect was booked on drug charges.

On July 25, law enforcement executed a search warrant in Clayton and arrested  Michael Anthony Moriarty, 38, for Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Manufacturing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Synthetic Marijuana, and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance.

Shannon Lindsey Frye, 33, of Clayton, was also arrested on a probation violation.

Moriarty and Frye were transported to Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
