RABUN COUNTY, Ga.- Rabun County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals on burglary and drug charges.

Following an ongoing burglary investigation, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division has arrested Lakeshia Deanne Gil for the following charges: Possession of Methamphetamine a felony charge, Burglary 1st Degree (X2) a felony charge, Theft by bringing stolen property into the state a misdemeanor charge, and Probation violation a felony charge.

Also, on the scene at the time of Gil’s arrest was Martin Cheyne Wallace, who was arrested on the following charge: Possession of Methamphetamine which is also a felony charge. For more updates on the case follow

Two women arrested on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine

RABUN COUNTY, Ga – Rabun County deputies arrested one local woman and one North Carolina woman on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamines on February 3, 2021.

During a traffic stop on GA-15/Hwy 441 near the intersection of Rabun Park Drive, law enforcement discovered a small baggy of white substance. Upon further investigation, they arrested Crystal Louetta Carpenter, of Clayton, GA, and charged her for trafficking of methamphetamine.

They also arrested Laura Surelle Henry, of Highlands, NC for the trafficking of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug related objects, driving with Suspended registration, and failure to maintain lane.

Both were transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
