Lake Rabun three-day Independence Day Celebration

CLAYTON, Ga – Lake Rabun plans to keep residents and visitors entertained the entire long Fourth of July weekend.

Beginning on Saturday, July 3, the Rabun Ramble Road Race starts at 7:30 a.m. It’s the 15th year of the 5K/10K race. People wishing to enter the run can do so online and even participate virtually if that’s their preference. The proceeds go to the Lake Rabun Foundation to benefit local charities including F.A.I.T.H, Northeast Georgia Food Bank, Georgia Mountain Psychological Associates and others involved in education, child welfare, and food ministries.

At 9:15 p.m. on Saturday are Fireworks at the Dam.  Lake Burton’s also hosting Saturday Fireworks.

A wooden boat parade will be held on Sunday, July 4 at 10:30 a.m. with BBQ and Bluegrass that night starting at 6 p.m.

On Monday, there’s a golf tournament at the Orchard Golf Club.

Sky Valley’s bringing back its Independence Day celebrations with a long list of events for July 3.

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM – Sky Valley Property Owners Pancake Breakfast (SV Country Club Pavilion)

10:00 – 10:45 – Sky Valley Rubber Duck Race (sign up in the CBC Parking Lot)

11:00 – 11:45 – Sky Valley Grand Parade (Parade starting at Tahoe Lane and ending at the SV Park)

11:30 – 1:30 – Sky Valley/Scaly Mountain Fire Department Hot Dog Cafe (SV City Pavilion)

1:00 – 3:00 – Bouncy Children’s Obstacle Course and Corn Hole Tournament

5:30 – 8:00 – The Sid Weber Cancer Fund BBQ

9:15 – Fireworks over the lake
