K9 responsible for the capture of subject that fled from police

PRESS RELEASE – On August 16th 2023, a Deputy with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office attempted to catch up to a vehicle and conduct a traffic stop in the area of GA-15 and Camp Creek Rd.

After a short vehicle pursuit, the fleeing vehicle came to a stop at an address on Connector Rd.

Two of the occupants of the fleeing vehicle were detained and Deputies learned that a third occupant of the vehicle had fled on foot.

Due to this information, K9 Doug was deployed in the area where the subject was last seen running. K9 Doug tracked the fleeing subject to a residence on Dueling Banjos Ln.

A search of the residence was conducted and Deputies located David Andrew Parson hiding inside. All three occupants of the fleeing vehicle had active warrants for their arrest.

Candice Smith Foster was arrested and charged with Felony Fleeing and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, and had an active warrant for Felony Failure to Appear.

Brandon Bragg was arrested and charged with having an active warrant for Misdemeanor Failure to Appear.

David Andrew Parson was arrested and charged with Obstructing Law Enforcement Officers and an active warrant for Felony Violation of Probation.
