Floyd Calvin Chastain
Calvin Floyd Chastain, 75, of the Hale Ridge Community Clayton, GA., died Tuesday June 4, 2019 at his home.
Born in Clyde, North Carolina., September 7, 1943 he was the son of the late James Luther (Luke) Chastain and Lucy Thomas Chastain. He had lived all of his life in Rabun County, Georgia. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist Faith.
Calvin was preceded in death by his wife Jo Ann Carver Chastain and by two brothers, Joe Chastain and Ned Chastain and is survived by one son, Wayne Chastain (Amanda) of Clayton, GA., one step son, Jeffrey Carver of Orlando, FL. Three brothers, Leroy Chastain (Carolyn), Max Chastain and Gary “Chub” Chastain all of Dillard, GA., three sisters, Linda Stewart (J.B.) of Otto, NC., Sue Owens of Dillard, GA., and Mary “Shorty” Billingsley and her husband Jack of Scaly Mtn. NC., two grandchildren, Michael and Alyshia and one great grandchild, Delilah also survive.
Funeral Services will be Saturday June 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Kilby, Rev. Jamie Chastain Rev Harold Houck and Rev. Oliver Rice Officiating. Burial will follow in the Hale Ridge Cemetery Clayton, GA.
Visitation will be at the Eastside Chapel Friday June 7, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The family is at the home of his brother Max”Chastian on Paradise Lane, Dillard, GA.
