RABUN COUNTY, Ga.- Two arrests have been made in connection to the Sky Valley Post Office Burglary case by Pinellas County, Florida’s Sheriff’s Office.
On Oct. 5 Sky Valley Police Department requested assistance from Rabun County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the burglary at the Sky Valley Post Office. Both agencies worked together to identify two subjects that are believed to be responsible for the burglary.
Stefini Joi Kirkland-Murphy (46) and her son, Mr. Austyn Christopher Kirkland (24) were both arrested in Pinellas County Florida. Kirkland-Murphy has charges of possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine pending in Florida. According to the incident report provided by Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, there were serval items found on the scene that listed the names of the two suspects.
For Rabun County, Kirkland-Murphy and Kirkland are facing multiple charges. The charges according to a post made by the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page include ten (10) counts of theft by taking, 1 count of theft by receiving stolen property, 1 count of Burglary, 1 count of Conspiracy to commit a felony, 1 count of Theft by possession stolen mail, 1 count of possession of tools for the commission of a crime, as well as 1 count of Interference with government property.
