Rabun County Fire Services Statistics for 2019

RABUN COUNTY, Ga – Rabun County Fire Services (RCFS) released it’s 2019 statistics to the public, which included 1,847 responses.

Over the course of the year, the department dealt with 36 structure fires, 19 multi-station fires – brush or vehicle fire close to a building, 171 motor vehicle collisions, and 148 false alarms.

On the training side, firefighters, EMS/EMA workers accumulated 11,357 training hours and gathered 1,740 safety education contacts. They also gave out 197 smoke alarms and 133 of those were during the Red Cross Blitz.

Rescue trucks 5 and 6 were replaced and new units were put into service as well.
